Lowville is the nearest village to the farm (10 miles south). The village is charming with Victorian homes and a small downtown area and shopping plaza. The Ridgeview motor lodge has 36 rooms held for us until July 4th and is a good option for those driving from the South.
Watertown is 23 miles west and a little north of the farm. Your drive to the farm will be slowed by twon traffic though. The Ramada Inn is on Arsenal Street, a shopping strip with various restaurants in downtown Watertown. Anyone thinking of heading to the Thousand Islands and Canada after the wedding might consider being here. Use http://www.1000islands.org/ for more lodging in this county.
Boonville is in neighboring Oswego County, 40 miles south of the farm. Boonville is a village similar to Lowville and halfway between Utica and the farm. Rooms are available at The Best Western Headwater Motor Lodge.
Turin and Houseville are smaller hamlets located on Rt. 26, south of Lowville, 25 miles from the farm. There are some varied and interesting options in these towns, which are centrally located to the wedding and recreational activities.

non-smoking but we will provide aroma candles. They have rooms held for the Hurlburt/ Galland wedding party

In Boonville there is the Headwaters Motor Lodge. Call 315-942-4493.

holding the rooms for us though.

The Gallands will be staying south of Lowville at The Timberview Lodge in Houseville.

In Turin, approximately 7 miles from the Galland's accommodations, between Boonville & Lowville:
7 hotel rooms plus 2 Townhouses offering apartment style rooms with kitchens. Most apartments have two or three bedrooms. They have the hotel held for wedding guests.

Bed & breakfast located at a working family farm, comfortable accommodations: sleeps 20, but confirm with the owners the room sizes & number of beds per room.

5 miles south of Lowville in the town of Glenfield. Bed and Breakfast. Clean, nice, breakfast 8am sharp, many Dale Earnhart (NASCAR) collectable pieces adorn the walls. Six rooms. Top floor is one room with 2 singles and a double bed and a private bathroom. One room is a double with private bathroom. The remaining four rooms share two bathrooms. Of the four rooms, three have a double bed and one has two single beds.

There are only three rooms here on top of one of the county plateaus.You'll be south of the wedding, near everything except the Ramada Inn.

Rox thought this place might get too hot on a bad summer day. All the bedrooms are on the top/second floor. But it looked nice and the weather isn't nearly as hot and ugly as in gets downstate.

The Becket guests are staying here. Call Adam Weinstein to arrange your room (only if you know him 718.284.7228). Here you will be separate from the others and will be closest to Lloyd's of Lowville Diner and Country Bob's Diner. There are only 6 rooms.
Go to the Lewis County Web Site, for almost everything. Loads of campsites, other Bed and Breakfasts, dining, and tourism ideas.
Consider being north of the wedding and other Inns if you want to check out The Thousand Islands Region or Historic Sackets Harbor

It is great up here, but you'll have to drive through Watertown (stoplights, instead of the highways of the south) to get to and from Denmark.

45 miles and at least an hours' drive, but accommodations available at beach club cabin community with lake access. "Roughing it" style accommodations.

On the Stillwater reservoir in the Adirondack Park. Read more about this option in the Miscellaneous section of the website. Only a good option for those who don't mind traveling far into the wilds, as the last 9 miles of road is gravel. Nice lakeside access once you get there.
